In 2010-11 fiscal years, an upward trend is persisted for all indices to measure multiple kind of inflation. Average CPI inflation is 14.1%, WPI inflation is 23.3% and SPI inflation is increased to 18.2% for July-Apr 2010-11 which is higher than the last year. The original factors for this spine are: increase in the international oil prices, textile products prices and unavailability of key consumer items in the market. Below table ravels average rates of inflation for three price indices:

A study done by Federal Bureau Statistics on Pakistan Social and Living Standards Measurement (PSLM) Survey 2010-11 has revealed the following statistics related to education.
*Literacy-population 10 years and older:
Literacy rate of Pakistan is about 58% of population, age group 10 years and above. At provisional level 60% Punjab while, Balochistan is 41% which is less among all provinces.

Federal Bureau of Statistics, Pakistan has recently conducted sixth round of Pakistan Social and Living Standards Measurement (PSLM) survey 2010-11. These statistics are taken from the survey, which is conducted in 9 different cities of Pakistan. During the period of 26th April to 4th May, 2011.
SAVING:
Overall only 7% Pakistanis are able to save part of their income.
People in Lahore (11%) save more than compared to people from other cities.
Younger people (18-25 years) save 10% i.e. more than the people from other age groups.

Almost every 4th Pakistani is Optimistic about the Economic Conditions.
The perception of people about the economic conditions of Pakistan is not that good. Overall, most people are pessimistic (73%) However people in Karachi (85%) are more pessimistic with compared to people living in other cities (63%). The people between the ages of 18 years – 25 years (mainly youth) (76%) people are more pessimistic than other age groups.
